Austin Anthony Vetter was born in Linton, N.D., on September 13, 1967, to August and Loretta Vetter. The youngest of 12 children, he was raised on a farm and educated in the Linton Public School System.

After graduation, he attended North Dakota State University and Cardinal Muench Seminary in Fargo, N.D. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy, he studied at the Pontifical North American College and the University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome, Italy.

Tours are available by request/reservation for parties of 10 or more.
If you have fewer than 10, you may still view the Cathedral when the doors are open and liturgy is not in progress.

During the summer (Memorial Day to Labor Day) tours are offered Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday between 1 pm and 3 pm--no reservation needed, free of charge.
