Our Story

 

For more than a decade, the Christmas Giving Tree Program at the Cathedral of St. Helena has focused on sharing the gifts of dignity, hope, faith and love with members of our community who are in need of assistance for the Christmas season.

 

Each year we serve over 350 children, infants through age 15.  With the amazing generosity and support of our parishioners, local businesses and the Helena community we collect hats & mittens, books, family games, stuffed animals, toys, presents and monetary donations.

 

When Christmas nears, a gathering hall in the lower level of the Cathedral of St. Helena is transformed into a Christmas store in which parents are given the dignity to “shop” for their children.  The joy of the Christmas season fills the atmosphere as we extend Christ’s love to those in need.
